SUMMARY:Introduction to Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) for HCAs
DESCRIPTION:This course has been designed for those HCAs supporting Long Term Condition reviews in relation to cardiovascular disease and hypertension. The day will offer an insight into vascular disease and the management of related conditions including hypertension. SUMMARY:Introduction to Vaccinations and Immunisations 2 Days
DESCRIPTION:This is a multi-day event. \n\nDay 1 – 24 March 2026\nDay 2 – 25 March 2026\n\nPlease ensure you are able to attend all the above dates before booking. \nIntroduction\nThis training is aimed at Practice Nurses who are new to providing immunisations and will be providing the full range of childhood and adult immunisations covered in the routine UK schedules.  It will provide nurses with the latest guidance on national immunisation programmes\, anaphylaxis and demonstrate the tools and resources available to manage common incidents and educate patients. Foundation training and updates are tailored to suit the requirements of the delegates to their specific area of practice and the vaccine(s) that they deliver. \nObjectives\nDuring this session we will cover: \n\nCurrent issues in immunisation\nRecent epidemiology of vaccine preventable disease\nAny changes to vaccine recommendations or national policy\nUpdate on vaccine ordering\, storage and administration\nAny changes to legislation relevant to vaccination\nReview of current practice\, recent vaccine incidents and identification of areas for improvement\n\nWe will also look at baby imms\, and where appropriate HPV/Shingles and other routine vaccines \nPrevious Delegate Feedback\n“I really liked having advice on accessing additional information. DESCRIPTION:This workshop is suitable for: Nurses & GPs. \nOverview: \nAs professionals you frequently work with people in their moments of greatest need\, witness health and social inequalities which have a direct effect on the lives of the people you care for. The sensitivity to personalisation is particularly relevant to adult safeguarding.
